About the show
This week on the podcast, we have Fatima Gatela, RN, BSN, MBA. Fatima started her nursing career in the Philippines then came over to the US to continue her career. She first worked in Floride and then made her way to California where she began her foray into nurse informatics.
Fatima takes us through her nursing journey and tell us how she got into nursing informatics and why she chose that specialty. She gives us a good overview of the available jobs within the nursing informatics specialty and some tips for getting started. She also shared her migration into nurse entrepreneurship, tells us how she started her own website, and how that grew into helping other nurses interested in the nurse informatics field.
