This week on the podcast we have Jamie Weatherfield, RN, BSN. Jamie started her nursing career on a med/surg floor in Washington, DC. While working in an ICU, she was introduced to the organ donation world and became interested in that specialty. She eventually moved back to California and is currently working as a Resource Triage Coordinator for one of the Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO) in California.
Jamie takes us through her nursing journey and highlights her passion for organ donation. She shares with us what her current job entails, other positions possible for nurses within the organ donation specialty, and how you can get involved with that patient population.
